ISSUANCE OF VISAS

TOURIST/VISIT VISA

·        Pakistan Missions abroad are authorized to grant visit/tourist visa for three months validity and stay with double entry to foreigners of List-A consisting of 175 countries (Annex-I).

GROUP TOURISM THROUGH DESIGNATED TOUR OPERATORS

·        Visa On Arrival (VOA) will be allowed for one-month validity and stay (Multiple) to Group Tourists of 24 “Tourists Friendly Countries” (TFC-Annex-III) through designated Tour Operators in Pakistan.

BUSINESS VISA

            VISA ON ARRIVAL TO BUSINESSMEN OF 69 COUNTRIES

·        Visa On Arrival (VOA) for 30 days validity and stay will be given to the businessmen of 69 countries of Business Friendly List (BVL-Annex-II) on production of any of the following documents.

Ø     Recommendation letter from CC&I of the respective country of the foreigner.

OR

Ø     Invitation letter from Business organization duly recommended by the concerned Trade organization/Association in Pakistan.

OR

Ø     Recommendatory letter by Honorary Investment Counselor (Mr. Syed Pervez Hussain) Tel: No.(852)2524-0103 Fax(852) 2845-2473 Board of Investment posted at Pakistan Missions abroad.

ENTRY VISA BY MISSIONS

·        Missions abroad are authorized to grant five years validity (Multiple) visa within 24 hours to businessmen of 69 countries of Business Visa List (BVL at Annex-II) on the production of any of the above documents. Duration of each stay would be restricted for three months.

·        Missions abroad can grant one month validity and stay (Multiple) entry visa to the businessmen of remaining 120 countries (except Israel) subject to the production of afore-mentioned requisite documents.

·        Conversion of Business visa into Work visa and vice versa has been discontinued forthwith.

·        Foreign businessmen and professional from all over the world will be encouraged through easier and hassle free visa processing by the Pakistan Missions abroad.

WORK VISA

·        Pakistan Missions abroad are authorized to grant entry “Work Visa” to foreign expatriates on the recommendations of Board of Investment for one year (Multiple) validity, extendable on yearly basis in Pakistan. Board of Investment will process work visa applications expeditiously. If the clearance is not received within 04 weeks, BOI will recommend such entry/extension of visa cases to the Ministry of Interior for authorization to Missions/RPOs under intimation to security agencies.

·        Clearance once given will hold good for one year.

·        Extension of three months provisional work visa, on application, recommended by BOI would be endorsed by the RPOs instead of Ministry of Interior.

·        Missionary work visa will be granted by Ministry of Interior in future.

·        Conversion of Business visa into Work visa and vice versa has been discontinued forthwith.

FAMILY VISIT VISA

·        Pakistan Missions abroad can grant 2years validity and six month stay (Multiple) entry visa to foreigners of Pak origin and their foreign spouses. Family visit visa will be extendable on yearly basis in Pakistan.

·        Issuance of POC cards to foreign spouses has been continued.
